Held in the summer, the Jacob’s Pillow is America’s premier dance festival presenting world-renowned dance in two theatres, and offering free outdoor performances, talks, exhibits, archives, and historic grounds. Founded by dance pioneer Ted Shawn in the 1930s, the Pillow today is renowned not only for producing a premier Festival, but also for its professional school and year-round community programs.
